Applications now open for the Learn + Work Programme

Applications are now open for the Learn + Work Programme at TU Dublin – Blanchardstown Campus.

This innovative approach to learning combines classroom learning with paid work placement, ensuring that students will gain hands on experience and a 3rd level qualification.

Open to school leavers, Learn + Work can help you to get the necessary training and experience to ready you for the many career opportunities in a number of industry growth areas. The programme combines training at TU Dublin – Blanchardstown Campus with blocks of work placement. This work experience gives learners the opportunity to apply their learning, be coached by industry experts and develop the work-ready skills to gain employment upon graduation.

Two courses are offered under the Learn + Work model:

  • BSc in Process Instrumentation & Automation
  • Higher Certificate in Science in Computing in Networking technologies



Fees for this course will be covered by Skillnet for a limited number of entrants in September 2019, subject to confirmation of renewal of funding from Skillnets.
Students on this programme will be registered as full time students. Full-time students may be eligible to make an application to SUSI for a maintenance grant.  You do not need to have accepted a place in college to apply for a student grant. Trainees on this course who secure work placement may receive a subsistence payment.

Applications are made directly to TU Dublin Blanchardstown Campus via the link on the course pages. As part of the process, Students will be invited to attend for an aptitude test and interviews.
